One of the joys I get from being a pet photographer is being able to help shelter animals find permanent homes by providing great photos of them. Research has shown that better photos equals more adoptions for shelter animals. So, I am constantly volunteering my time photographing these wonderful dogs and cats. You will see plenty photos of shelter animals up for adoption on this site.
But shelters need money too. Almost all animal rescue groups are non-profits and rely exclusively on donations. So to support them in this way I will donate $25 from each pet portrait session to a local animal rescue group. Some of my favorite groups to donate to are:
