People & Their Pets | Social Miami & Paws 4 You Rescue | November 2011

People & Their Pets is a monthly newsletter featuring 3 South Florida residents and their pets. It’s purpose is to spread the word about Paws 4 You Rescue as well as highlight the special relationship all the pet owners have with their pets. November’s issue featured Ana Hernandez, Sharon Maclvor, DMV, and Linda Levy Goldberg.

Ana Hernandez is the founder of Children’s Home Society Emissaries. She is a board member of Big Brother Big Sisters Women’s Committee and this year’s co-chair of the Lori Brenner Scholarship event. She is also co-chair of this year’s Special Olympics Fashion Show. Ana is the proud owner of Jack.

Sharon MacIvor is the practice owner of Dadeland Animal Hospital and is “pet-mom” to Tango her Cockatoo, Juicy the Yorkie, Codie the Malti rescue and Diva Kitty Annabelle. Children and animals have a special place in her heart and she devotes personal time to homeless and elderly clients. Currently, Dr. MacIvor serves on the host committee of the Special Olympics fashion fundraiser, participates in Big Brothers Big Sisters and serves on the Board of Directors Zoo Miami.

Linda Levy Goldberg is a native Miamian and holds a Master Degree in Public Administration from the University of Miami. Linda has parlayed her management background for the good of our community through philanthropy and leadership in a multitude of charitable activities. Pet rescue is close to Linda’s heart as she inherited her love of animals from her mother, Sylvia Carbonell Levy. The Goldberg’s are pet lovers and advocates.
