Dee Hoult of Applause Your Paws, Inc. dog training was able to help launch Miami’s first and only program where shelter dogs available for adoption through Miami Dade Animal Services are getting a second chance by learning the skills necessary to pass their Canine Good Citizen exam! Ruckus is a young shepherd mix, and Gino is an adult terrier lab mix. Both dogs will leave the jail program with all the foundations of obedience: sit, down, stay, come, go to your place, sit politely for petting, walk nicely on a leash, accept grooming and touch, and no jumping up on people. Both dogs are social towards other dogs and are up-to-date on all vaccines as well as neutered. With just a few weeks before these dogs graduate with their Canine Good Citizen certificates, they are looking for their forever home.
